This page shows the campaign collateral organizations use to advertise a PurrMSG list code, and the complete text opt-in flow a member experiences. It is the standard wording PurrMSG provides to every organization.

Campaign collateral

Organizations print this on bulletins and handouts, display it on screens, and publish it on their own websites. This example is for a congregation using the list code CSW. Direct image link: purrmsg.com/opt-in.png

The opt-in flow

A member joins by texting the list code from their own phone. PurrMSG never sends a message to a number that has not texted in first.

4. PurrMSG confirms enrollment

You're all set. You will now receive Cedar Springs Ward announcements. Reply STOP to opt out.

A member who does not reply Y receives no further messages. There is no contact import, no bulk upload, and no administrator-initiated invitation anywhere in the service.

Stopping messages

Replying STOP to any message stops all messages from that number. To leave one list without stopping all messages, a member texts that list's code and chooses the leave option from the numbered menu.
